Level One: Figures for Voice™ teaches the tools of the craft to add strength, clarity and stamina to your voice! Participants will use EVT’s innovative Figures for Voice™ to learn control of the vocal structures that influence voice quality. Each Figure employs exercises that will give you new vocal options for all styles of speaking and singing.
Level Two combines the Figures from Level One to produce six voice qualities: Speech, Falsetto, Sob, Twang, Opera, and Belting. Figure Combinations for Six Voice Qualities™ offers a clear understanding of the voice’s limitless possibilities, along with how to keep it vibrant and healthy.
Throughout the day, the new voice skills are practised in small group sessions. There will also be ample time for questions, discussion, and work on individual repertoire or case studies.
Stephanie is a tech specialist in a range of genres, but her particular favourites are Contemporary Music Theatre and Contemporary Commercial Music styles (Pop/Rock/Soul/R&B etc). This workshop is designed to answer to the myth and mayhem of what singers WANT and NEED to know! What really is the mixed voice? What is belting? How do I fix my break? How do I belt safely? What is the difference between belt and chest voice? What is the belt mix?
Sooo many questions we at The Voice Gym asked ourselves and our teachers before we knew the Estill Voice Model. Now we have the answers!
Stephanie is passionate about the break, mixing and belting as it was the biggest issue for her contemporary style commercial and MT voicing before her first experience with Estill.
Now, using the Estill Model, she has created playful exercises to help YOU solve the problems of mix and belt and can’t wait to share them with you!
